School Carnival

Pre-Primary Assembly

It was the turn of the pre-primaries to put on an assembly for the rest of the school. It was the first time ever that they have been allowed to do there own assembly and so the teachers were very nervous about the reception that they would receive. It was brilliant though!

The theme of the assembly was "jelly beans" and so all of the children came to school dressed in bright colours. All of the children in the class were asked who would like a speaking part and they all volunteered. They took it in turns to speak into the microphone and say the speech that they had been practicing for weeks. They also did songs and introduced the children of the school who had won merit certificates.

It was just brilliant!!

To make it easy for you, Anna is wearing all pink and a pink sleeveless sweatshirt!

We have moved!

Phew, we are finally in our new house, surrounded by boxes but happy ....

Father's Day

It was a lovely sunny day on Sunday (Father's Day) and so we decided to take a drive to the hills to show Paul another side to Perth. We went and had a look at the Wungong Dam Reserve and ended up at a pub (yes, there is one!) that was having a hog roast and had a folk band on. It was lovely to just sit there, have a beer and listen to the music.

After that, we ended up in Freemantle having tea at a Mexican restaurant. I love it there as they actually have vegetarian options on the menu.
