Weekend away in Denmark (WA)

Our destination, a five hour drive South.
Great Southern Highway
(Not many traffic lights on here!)

A typical road house.
You don't see much else for about 5 hours driving.

A Road Train
(Pretty much all you see when you travel outside of Perth)

Our accommodation at Elle-Tree Resort
(Fantasic!)

Before we could chill out we had to get rid of our "guest"!
A Huntsman Spider

Yes, we did put the log burner on!

A Tingle Tree in the Valley of the Giants.
These trees are over 400 years old and are some of the biggest trees in the whole world.
They are only found in South West Australia.

The Tree Top Walk in Walpole.
The bridge is 40 metres above ground and gives you a spectacular view of the
forest and surrounding area.

Peaceful Bay at dusk
Denmark

Peaceful Bay at dusk.
(Not many crowds here!) Denmark

"Elephant Rocks" on William Bay
Denmark

The drive down to the beach.
Not much traffic here!

It all looks lovely - that last photo of the drive down to the beach is a fantastic photo.
How soon is it til Mitchell comes over? You got your tree up yet?!!
Very tempted to change plans and come in March. Would mean we only get about 11 days there and would have Nick in tow. Lots of reasons to change plans and lots to stay with the round the world trip next summer. When I get time to think about it all I'll be in touch!
See you soon one way or another!

Hi
Mitchel is over in March, he's coming with Claire and Reece. Mum and Bob are also over at the same time - we can't wait!

I just can't get into the Christmas spirit. It's so different with it being hot. I'll probably put the tree up next week. Anna breaks up from school then.

Can't wait for you to come over!

Are they coming at the beginning, middle or end - that may decide for us what we're doing!! Would Anna have any time off in July / August?
We off to York on Saturday - won't be the same without you but we'll raise a glass of mulled wine to you!!

Hi
I've just had it confirmed that they get here on the 7th March and I think they're staying for 3 weeks!
Anna's school holidays for 2008 are:
12 April - 27 April
5 July – 20 July
27 September – 12 October
19 December -
Don't know if this makes it easier or harder!
Do you have to work around school hols?
Enjoy York!
